This place I really wanted to like, a local, small business. Went in with the intention of getting 2 dozen bagels for a sporting event today. Nope they need to be pre ordered. Half dozen, need to be pre ordered. Kind of ridiculous for a “bagel” shop. Anyway, it gets even better. I order and bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel with salt pepper ketchup. Confirmed by the lady cooking 2 times, ketchup? My replay each time was yes. Guess what, I didn’t get ketchup. 2 strips of cold bacon. No salt, no pepper. Really lackluster to say the least. It gets even better! The blonde older lady was very frustrated about the printer and a DoorDash driver. I go to the counter to pay. She says “what did you get” and not in the nicest way. She was beyond rude. Lady, it’s 6:45 am, no need to be so angry and rude. Never again, I’ll spend my hard earned money elsewhere. .
I stopped by to pickup Bagels to bring in to work. Staff was super friendly and the bagels are delicious. The homemade cream cheese is superb - especially the vegetable. This is now my go to bagel place!
Drove all the way up from Fishtown, Philly and it was worth every mile. Best bagels in the Philly area by far. The bagels themselves have the perfect density, chewiness, and flavor. Their homemade olive cream cheese is perfectly salty and funky. The bagels are baked fresh and frequently. I arrived at noon and they had just baked a batch. The people running the place were so nice. 10/10 highly recommend.
